Hungarian coinage. Hungary is a landlocked country in Central Europe. The largest and capital city is Budapest. The official language is Magyar, also known as Hungarian. Hungary was a great power until the end of WWI when it lost over 70% of its territory, a third of its ethnic population, and all seaports under the Treaty of Trianon. The current government since October 23, 1989 is the Third Republic. Monetary system: 1 Forint (Florin) = 60 Krajczar; 1 Korona = 100 Filler (to 1926); 1 Pengo = 100 Filler (to 1946); 1 Forint = 100 Filler (from 1946).
