Ancient Egypt: 27th Dynasty to Ptolemaic Period (525-332 BCE) Medium Faience USHABTI with faded pastel blue glaze. Details clear, intact but repaired, approximately 110mm. Each Ushabti were to perform work in place of the deceased in the Celestial fields -- this specimen is either a foreman Ushabti supervising 10 smaller ones or an Ushabti belonging to a wealthy and/or noble deceased.
